  • Rs 20 lakh grant: Retain full equity in ventures while receiving mentorship and support.

In a move set to redefine entrepreneurial support, Zerodha cofounder Nikhil Kamath has launched a groundbreaking initiative—the WTFund, aimed exclusively at entrepreneurs aged 25 and under. This sector-agnostic fund, offering a substantial grant of Rs 20 lakh, seeks to empower young founders by allowing them to retain full equity in their ventures. Beyond financial aid, WTFund provides a holistic support system encompassing mentorship, go-to-market strategies, beta testing, talent acquisition programs, and more.

Kamath underscores the significance of youth in entrepreneurship, noting that they often drive significant impact. He emphasizes cultivating a risk-embracing culture through comprehensive support. The WTFund reflects this vision, nurturing young entrepreneurs with tools necessary to succeed.

The fund's launch aligns with a broader trend of influential founders transitioning into investors, signaling a shift towards supporting domestic funds. Notable figures like Mithun Sacheti and Binny Bansal are among those backing similar initiatives, highlighting a growing ecosystem fostering entrepreneurship.
