By 2024, Zomato and Zypp Electric, an EV-as-a-service platform with technology support, plan to deploy 1 lakh e-scooters for last-mile delivery throughout India. By the agreement, Zypp will provide Zomato delivery partners for last-mile deliveries in several cities. Zypp intends to drastically decrease carbon emissions by more than 35 million kg. So far, Zypp has deployed more than 13,000 EVs on Indian roads. As part of its commitment to "The Climate Group's EV100" project, Zomato plans to switch to all-electric operations by the year 2030.

According to Tushar Mehta, COO and co-founder of Zypp Electric, this alliance presents a significant chance to transform the food delivery sector. The association will make it possible for a delivery experience that is more effective, sustainable, and customer-focused and will raise the bar for the sector. This eco-friendly delivery experience will be made possible by Zypp's EV Fleet Management platform and cutting-edge partner solutions.

Also, the business wants to develop by entering new markets. According to Zomato's COO of Food Delivery, Mohit Sardana, the partnership with Zypp Electric would allow Zomato to drastically cut carbon emissions while offering consumers more environmentally friendly last-mile delivery choices. To further the objective of turning all-electric by 2030, Zomato is thrilled to collaborate with Zypp Electric.

Zypp presently serves 50 clients, including aggregators and e-commerce platforms, and Zomato is one of them. Most two-wheeled vehicles used for food delivery are petrol-powered, but Zomato wants to switch to electric cars to cut expenses. Zomato can offer a green and sustainable delivery experience by working with Zypp Electric. The organization will give gig workers more authority and open up exciting career prospects.

Zomato can use its technology to generate more effective, sustainable, and customer-focused deliveries because of Zypp's experience in sustainable mobility. In general, the partnership between Zypp and Zomato offers a big chance to change how food is delivered in India.
