In a recent development that aims to revolutionize large-group food orders, Zomato's CEO, Deepinder Goyal, unveiled India's pioneering "large fleet order" service. This cutting-edge fleet is tailored to effortlessly manage orders for gatherings of up to 50 individuals, introducing a new level of convenience for party and event catering. Goyal emphasized the forward-thinking nature of this initiative, highlighting that the fleet will exclusively comprise electric vehicles—a move aligned with Zomato's commitment to sustainable practices and innovation.


Previously, Zomato encountered challenges with large orders, as they often involved multiple delivery partners, resulting in suboptimal customer experiences. Goyal acknowledged this shortcoming, noting that the new all-electric fleet aims to address these issues directly. By streamlining the process and focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction, Zomato seeks to elevate the standards of service in the food delivery industry.


Goyal also revealed that the fleet is continuously evolving, with plans to incorporate essential features like cooling compartments and temperature-controlled hot boxes.
